Anxiety doesn’t have to define your life. You are capable of change and growth. You are stronger than your fear, and you can move past it.

What is anxiety?

We’re living in anxiety-inducing times. There’s no question about that. But even though it is completely normal to feel anxious from time to time, anxiety doesn’t have to define your life. If you’re consistently struggling to focus and feeling worried and tense, like something terrible is about to happen — even when you logically know it’s unlikely — you can get help.

The effects of your anxiety may be varied and include any number of internal and physical symptoms. Some of the more common effects of ongoing anxeity are:

  • Intense worry over everyday occurrences

  • Difficulty controlling those worries

  • Restlessness, inability to relax

  • Trouble concentrating

  • Difficulty falling or staying asleep

  • Fatigue

  • Headaches and muscle aches

  • Digestive issues

  • Irritability

Anxiety doesn’t have to overwhelm you.

The good news is that you can learn how to recognize where your anxiety comes from and how to manage it more effectively. Unlearning an anxious mindset will take time, but finding a safe place to openly address your fears is an important first step.

It is my responsibility to make our sessions one of those safe places, and it’s a responsibility I take seriously.

My sessions are upbeat and energetic, and I work well with clients who enjoy engaging actively in the work.

Together, we will explore the thought processes behind your anxiety, and, by identifying them, begin to unravel them and develop more productive thought patterns, stress relief techniques, and other strategies for anxiety coping and management. You’ll begin to feel a greater sense of control over the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that have had a negative impact on your life.

Finding a therapist can be challenging. But finding a good one can have a significant impact on your life. I hope you have success in your search, and would be happy to talk in more detail about my practice.
